Kathmandu : The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has decided to vote in favour of constitution amendment bill.
The meeting of the JSP office-bearers convened here on Friday decided for the same, informed a party leader Keshav Jha. Government has registered the bill in the parliament for which voting is scheduled for Saturday.
The amendment is aimed at updating the recently revised map of Nepal in the national emblem for that the Schedule 3 of the Constitution of Nepal must be amended. The new political and administrative map of Nepal includes Limpiyadhura, Lipulek and Kalapani territories.
Earlier, then Rastriya Janata Party and Samajwadi Party had separately registered the bill for constitution amendment in the parliament. JSP’s parliamentarian Sarita Giri had also registered a separate bill in the parliament demanding to take back the bill presented by the government.
The parliamentary party of JSP has already directed Giri to withdraw the bill she registered not accepting the newly issued political map of Nepal.
