Kathmandu : Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet has left for the United Kingdom leading a Nepali delegation to attend the International Conference on Prevention of Illegal Wildlife Trade.
Minister Basnet left for the UK on Tuesday to attend the fourth conference being held with the objective of preventing illegal wildlife poaching for trade.
The conference is taking place in the UK’s capital city, London, on Thursday and Friday.
According to the Forest Ministry, as many as 1,500 representatives from different 50 countries are participating in the conference.
Minister Basnet is scheduled to address the inaugural session of the conference on Thursday. ---
